Are your blends made using pure essential oils?
Yes, all of our Nalu Oil blends are 100% organic and made using 100% therapeutic grade essential oils. No pesticides, synthetic chemicals, GMOs or herbicides are used throughout the growing or distillation process. We receive GC/MS testing on each essential oil batch.
Do the blends expire?
We suggest that all Nalu Oils blends be used within 6 months of purchase. Keep the oil in the Nalu Oil bottles with the lid securely fastened, in a cool, dark place to maintain the quality of the essential oils. Nalu Oils blends can be refrigerated if desired.
How do I use the blends?
We only suggest diffusing the blend on a Nalu Oil Bead or applying it topically. We do not recommend that a pet ingests any of our blends. Please consult your veterinarian for more information on this. Please see our "About Us" page for more information on diffusing and topical use.
Do you suggest a sensitivity test?
Yes, to determine if you pet has sensitivity to a blend, take the cap off the blend and unplug the orifice reducer. Call you pet over and invite them to smell the oil at a comfortable distance. Waft it back and forth in front of their face. If the pet has a negative reaction, such a trying to hide from it or purposefully moving away from it, then we do not suggest using that blend on your pet. Note: You should never diffuse the oil in a confined space where the pet does not have an exit route. If an you plan to use the oil topically always use one drop first on a test patch and monitor for a 24 hour period. If irritation occurs, discontinue use topically. Never use a blend topically for more than 7 consecutive days. Monitor your pet for adverse reactions at all times. Adverse reactions can include skin irritation, nausea, respiratory complaints or dizziness. Watch your pet's behavior as this is how they will communicate these issues to you. If concerned, consult a veterinary clinic for more information.
Essential oils are powerful so add more carrier oil to lower the risk for irritation and sensitization.
How should I store my Nalu Oil Blends?
We suggest storing the blends in the Nalu Oils bottles in a cool, dark place. Oxygen, heat and light can deteriorate the blends over time and even make them irritating to the skin. The Nalu Oils bottles are specifically designed to minimize these effects. Nalu Oils blends can be refrigerated if desired.
